Francis Leon is born in Kanyakumari District,
Tamilnadu. He received a Diploma in Fine Arts from Chitra Drawing School, in
Nagarkoil. His work integrates different style of textures, colors and theme
which find a focus point with art lovers. Several of his works make you feel
that it is stone carving relief work, rather than a painting on canvas. Though
young, his work is very mature. He has participated in several state and national
level competition and has several shows to his credit and his works can be seen
in India and abroad.
