Kumaresan Selvaraj, the Chennai based artist is one among the emerging young talents. Born and brought up in Chennai, he graduated in Painting from the Government College of Fine Arts in 2005. His suite of works in this second solo show is the extension of ideas rendered in two dimensions into three dimensions. A skilled and dexterous artist, he has pushed his creativity from realistic portrayal of landscapes, transforming to personalized expressions to a final progression into abstraction. Having reached this development, the next step was to work his ideas in three dimensions, which he has executed successfully. This development was a response to his experiences based on perceptions of the phenomenal world, achieved productively in the present suite of works.
