Bhuwal, who works with natural material, primarily employs realism using contemporary mediums, and experiments with abstraction and symbology. In this series, she has depicted historical events, cultural ambience, economic progress, flora and fauna and architectural monuments using the Indian miniature style of representation, while maintaining a semi-abstract format. She endeavours to conceptualize it beyond the visual, towards a story, as an expressive narrative of what we hold most precious, as symbols that unite us as a nation. As an artist and personally, the journey with the concept that she takes while searching for its relevance, often forges the form organically. After this point, the form takes on its own creation and meaning. Bhuwal keeps the authenticity of Mughal and Rajasthani miniatures, yet allows from semi-abstraction play a heavy role in her visual representation.
