Roy K John is born in Thrissur, Kerala. He undertook his Kerala Traditional Mural Painting Course at Institute-Temple of Arts, Guruvayoor. His works display that tradition and belief an individual holds in his thoughts, concepts and work, is always the force behind to move forward during uncertainties and hurdles. The iconography and iconometry of the traditional art practice, new themes and some stylistic experiments are done now, but very few artists go beyond the barrier of repeated tracks of execution. Color, line, composition can create a jubilant mood in the minds of people, no doubt, but because of the energy of tradition the artists also get a power of confidence.
